But sadly, thousands of children and youth who were removed from the only family they\u2019ve ever known and placed in foster care, will not be home for the holidays. Your support is needed now more than ever.<\/p>\n<p>As we continue to navigate the onset of new COVID-19 variants, while approaching the end of another challenging year, we are thankful for your ongoing support of the National CASA\/GAL Association for Children. Whether you are a volunteer, donor or partner, I hope you will renew your support by continuing to volunteer locally, or by making a gift to help 950 CASA\/GAL member programs provide 93,000 volunteers nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Highly-trained CASA\/GAL volunteers lend their voices, advocating for the best interests of more than 240,000 children and youth in need. Having a trusted, caring and consistent adult figure in a youth\u2019s life is essential to helping them build resilience\u2014the ability to adapt and recover after a traumatic event. Resilience is key to helping young people bounce back from difficult experiences and overcome the long odds that can face children who have spent time in foster care. CASA\/GAL volunteers make a life changing difference for these children and youth.<\/p>\n<p>As we look ahead to next year, National CASA\/GAL will be celebrating a milestone \u2013 our 40th anniversary. That\u2019s 40 years of building and leading this unique nationwide network with its hundreds of thousands of volunteers speaking up for millions of children. And we\u2019re just getting started.<\/p>\n<p>While we\u2019re proud to serve more children and youth in the child welfare system than any other national organization, we won\u2019t stop until every child who has experienced abuse or neglect has a volunteer advocate by their side and the opportunity to thrive in a safe, permanent and loving home.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, we urge you to come forward and support children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect by supporting CASA\/GAL programs across the country. <strong><a
