The National CASA\/GAL Association for Children welcomes Bain & Company Partner Daniel Schwartz to the board of trustees<\/h2>\n\t\t

Seattle, WA \u2013 The National Court Appointed Special Advocate\/Guardian ad Litem (CASA\/GAL) Association for Children recently elected Daniel Schwartz<\/strong> to its board of trustees.<\/p>\n

Schwartz is a partner at Bain & Company in Washington D.C., where he applies his expertise in organization and operating model, strategy, and performance improvement. He has worked with leading companies in the aerospace and defense, industrial and government services, manufacturing and telecom industries to help their senior leadership teams address critical organizational, operational and strategic issues. Schwartz also was previously part of the corporate strategic planning group at The Walt Disney Company.<\/p>\n

\u201cDan has strong experience in organizational management that will enhance the work of our board and the Association,\u201d said Tara Lisa Perry, CEO of the National CASA\/GAL Association. \u201cHis strategic thinking and knowledge of best practices in planning and performance measurement will be an asset as we advance the work of our nationwide network of programs to best serve children and families.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to his professional expertise, Schwartz also brings prior non-profit leadership experience to this role. He is a member of the corporate advisory board for So Others Might Eat, a Washington D.C.-based homeless support organization that provides a full range of services to the local homeless community. Schwartz holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in business from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to be joining National CASA\/GAL\u2019s Board of Trustees and really look forward to working with Tara Perry, the incredible National CASA\/GAL staff and my fellow board members to help advance the mission as we work to ensure that every child who has experienced abuse or neglect can have the valuable support he or she needs,\u201d said Schwartz.<\/p>\n

Schwartz joins the National CASA\/GAL Board of Trustees headed by Joseph Bankoff, chair of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n
