Thrive. to raise awareness for best interest advocacy<\/h2>\n\t\t<div class=\"text\"><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2670\" src=\"https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WRT_Logo-962x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"265\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WRT_Logo-962x1024.png 962w, https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WRT_Logo-282x300.png 282w, https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WRT_Logo-768x818.png 768w, https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WRT_Logo-1442x1536.png 1442w, https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/WRT_Logo-1923x2048.png 1923w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 265px) 100vw, 265px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The National Court Appointed Special Advocate\/Guardian ad Litem (CASA\/GAL) Association for Children will host <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalcasagal.org\/walk-run-thrive\/\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ee2e24;\">Walk.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #00457c;\">Run. <span style=\"color: #0088c7;\">Thrive.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 \u2013 a new virtual event aimed at raising awareness about the work of its network of 948 state organizations and local programs May 1-2, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than traveling to one central location on a specific race day and time, National CASA\/GAL invites individuals to participate by walking or running wherever they are, choosing their own day, time and pace. Each registered participant will receive a signature event t-shirt and will be encouraged to share their walk or run on social media to promote the mission of CASA\/GAL programs.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2010, CASA\/GAL volunteers have donated nearly 60 million hours advocating on behalf of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Nationwide, more than 96,000 volunteers advocate for hundreds of thousands of children and youth in the child welfare system, but more volunteers are needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ee2e24;\">Walk.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #00457c;\">Run. <span style=\"color: #0088c7;\">Thrive.<\/span><\/span><\/strong> is an opportunity for new and existing supporters of the CASA\/GAL mission to join together virtually and spread the word about the impact that CASA\/GAL volunteers are making in the lives of children and families.<\/p>\n<p>Registration opens Friday, Feb. 5.
