Brigit Joyce<\/h2>\n\t\t

\"\"For Brigit Joyce<\/strong>, joining Kappa Alpha Theta during the second semester of her first year at Georgia Tech was like a new beginning, giving her best friends and a strong support system. \u201cI cannot imagine what my college experience would have been like without this chapter,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Similarly, it is hard to imagine what the relationship between the Theta Nu Chapter and the Atlanta CASA program would have been like without Brigit. When she became Theta Nu\u2019s chief external affairs officer, the young chapter\u2019s philanthropic events were costing the chapter more to put on than they were raising. Determined to change this, Brigit spearheaded three events in 2019. Together, they raised more than $11,000, benefiting Fulton County CASA (now Atlanta CASA) while contributing to Theta Foundation\u2019s $1 Million Initiative for National CASA\/GAL.<\/p>\n

The year 2019 also afforded Brigit the opportunity to attend the National CASA\/GAL Conference in Atlanta and to intern with Dallas CASA, helping to execute the Parade of Playhouses, an annual fundraising event that raised more than $159,000. Now 21, she completed training (virtually) to become a CASA volunteer herself and is currently awaiting her first case.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am incredibly grateful that Theta introduced me to National CASA\/GAL. Its mission is so important to me and really resonated with me as a Theta, with our charge to spread the widest influence for good,\u201d she explains. \u201cNo matter where life sends me after graduation, I know I\u2019ll have Kappa Alpha Theta and the CASA network as a community to stay involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have witnessed the important and impactful work that CASA organizations and volunteers do to advocate for the welfare of every child.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
