Sellaway, <a href=\"mailto:sheryls@nationalcasagal.org\">sheryls@nationalcasagal.org<\/a>, 404.695.5564<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ATLANTA, Georgia \u2013 February 14, 2020 \u2013 The National Court Appointed Special Advocate\/Guardian ad Litem (CASA\/GAL) Association for Children recently elected Dr. Sylvia Delley to its board of trustees. She is a licensed clinical pastoral counselor with a private practice in the Atlanta Area. Additionally, Dr. Delley is a co-business owner with her husband Terry Delley in several business interests in real estate, food service and airport concessions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSylvia is an amazing, tireless advocate for children. We are fortunate to have her on National CASA\/GAL Association\u2019s board. She has a long, reputable history of working with children and adults impacted by abuse and neglect. Sylvia\u2019s compassionate, caring disposition, and wealth of professional insight about our work will be of tremendous value to our organization,\u201d said National CASA\/GAL CEO Tara Perry. \u201cSylvia has a big heart for the work we do. We look forward to leveraging her expertise to better serve children who need our support developing strategies for our mission.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Delley holds a PhD and a master\u2019s degree in clinical pastoral counseling from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. Prior to Dr. Delley\u2019s work in clinical pastoral counseling, she owned an IT contracting and recruiting firm and was active in her family business.<br \/>\n\u201cThe opportunity to serve children who have been abused and neglected is a high calling,\u201d said Dr. Delley. \u201cI am honored to join National CASA\u2019s board because our precious children deserve to live and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. I look forward to assisting the organization in realizing its mission and vision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Delley is active in her church Mt. Paran Central in the Atlanta community. She and her husband travel frequently overseas to support ministries in South Africa and India. In 2006, Dr. Delley and her husband financially supported Partners in Compassionate Care in its efforts to build Memorial Christian Hospital in South Sudan, along with drilling a well on the new building site.
